Prepared Lucy
Lucy decided to help with packing. This is as far as she got however… I guess she figures there is a place for everything and everything in its place.

Best Label Maker Ever!!! You can pretty much make anything on those labels. Add your own logo (as a BMP anyway) and any address automatically makes a fancy bar code too.
As far as packing “skills” go, we just wanted to know where everything was supposed to go when we unpacked our POD. It will be way easier to unload all our stuff into the house when we know what the heck is in everything.
We went with two ways of storing things. Boxes and tubs. Boxes are not really meant for heavy loads, and certainly not heavy loads stacked on top of each other. So we figured we would use tubs for things that were going to be heavy, fragile or expensive as the tubs would offer more support. Then we can stack the cardboard boxes on top and have a stable platform.
Also, you cannot really resell cardboard boxes, but nice storage tubs will at least allow you to recoup some of your moving expenses.
We’ll see how well our plans worked out for us once we see how our packing job lasted after a 2000 mile cross-country transport.

Are you going to document your amazing organizational skills for this move? Those tags are great! We can I get my hands on them? You should market them. In our many moves we have used beat-up boxes and a sharpie.
